Terms and conditions

Shrinkage and washing

Many materials, particularly natural ones, like Cotton are prone to shrinking when subjected to extremes of temperatures and the agitation of washers and dryers. Although some of our suppliers say machine or hand wash, Stanzy and Ivy Fabrics will not be held responsible for any shrinkage. We strongly recommend that you always test on a small piece of fabric first or pre-wash fabric before you commence any project.

Returns policy

It is important to me that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. I will understand that sometimes an item may not be suitable.

If you would like to request a refund please email caroline@dressmakershop.co.uk, or call 07891 397313 within 7days of receipt to request a return form. All items must be in their original condition.

Make sure that your order invoice is included with the parcel and it is received by us within 14 days of delivery. The goods are considered your responsibility until I have received them, so please use a tracked service. You are responsible for all return costs, except in cases where there is a fault with the product.

I aim to process all returns within 7 days of receiving your item.

Items must be returned to me in an unused, resaleable condition, free from any marks, odors and with all tags attached if applicable. Please inspect all fabric for faults before cutting as I am unable to accept returns of fabric, once it has been cut. I reserve the right not to refund you, if I believe they have been used.
